Granny Square Baby Blanket

Crochet Granny Square Baby Blanket

This one is a pretty simple pattern, but it is quick, adorable, and really versatile.

I used this pattern to make a baby blanket for a coworker who found out she was pregnant with a little girl. Originally I made the blanket in yellow and white as you can see here.

Forgive the bad picture quality. I did not have a good phone camera at the time.

Anyway, so I made this baby blanket in one evening. And I loved the pattern so much, that I decided to start on another one the next day before going into work. Turns out, the pregnant coworker was more of a fan of the second one – shown below.

So, coworker got the second one because it was “so cute and girly!” And I gave my cousin, who was also pregnant at the time (with a little boy) the yellow and white blanket. In the end, it all worked out, because the yellow and white is more gender-neutral.

After I finished both of those blankets, I found myself making a third one. This one, I made for me. I don’t have any kids yet, so it has stayed in a box for when that day comes. But I like it. It was made with the colors of my favorite hockey team, the St. Louis Blues. It is shown above in laid out on the floor and not folded up. But, because I like it, I’m going to show you the picture again. 🙂

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, let me know!
